FTC Announces Action Against Alleged Pyramid Scheme
unlikely to be HLF due Kentucky AG involvement

Probably one of these
http://www.npros.com/MLM_by_state_list.asp?MLM=Kentucky

also "major action against an allegedly illegal pyramid scheme" is only likely to be taken after an investigation.

I would think (and could be wrong) that there would be knowledge (deliberate or leaked) of an investigation by the FTC (if any) into HLF, before action is taken.

they tend to be slow with these things too, its been barely a month since Ackman presentation

Agreed.

Although I don't have the conviction to buy the stock, which might be at $43 or higher once it is announced that the action is about a different pyramid scheme.

Lots of similarities between this ponzi and HLF (targetting spanish speaking people, etc). Ackman will be all over this

Quote from Chuck Krug:

I know one thing hlf is damn hard to trade
short from just over 40 here myself, but a small position and a stoploss

I've found that stocks with high short interest are intraday nightmares

Covered half of HLF short. Might cover the rest later today. Just had to take some profits here, stock is down a lot quite quickly. I intended to cover into an Ackman report panic but I will take this. I might get the chance to reshort this
