The Shorting of Frauds, Overhyped and Bankrupt Stocks Journal

Quote from Daal:

I would think that if the SEC had closed or in any way validated the company in the investigation they would have mentioned that in the filling

Quote from Daal:

This investigation explains why FMCN all of the sudden rushed to sell their business in the middle of last year

Two very good points - something for me to think about.

Ackman most important point about HLF. Daniel Loeb filed a passive SEC filling before he was legally required to. Clearly he wanted to pump and dump the stock IMO

I shorted a bit HLF garbage index size. I expect the squeeze momemtum to turn and Ackman to deliver a response (which he said he will) that might drive the stock down some more

I think Ackman nailed, this was an orchestrated short squeeze (that Loeb voluntary filling is a huge tell). I called it headline manipulation but the bias was clearly to the upside

Buy when one one wants it and sell when everybody wants it. I think momentum is likely to turn

That's the lesson of the day, careful with 13 type SEC fillings. Need to check if it was a voluntary disclose and other details so you don't misread the situation. Loeb research seems to be a farce if his profits dependent on his 13G manipulation
