Why is everyone giving the bird such a hard time? I haven't been here too long and just skim over the S&P realated threads every few nights, but from what I've seen, Rubber bird seems to be very good at calling the market.

His arrogance is quite overwhelming but I just find it funny.

I also read the YM thread and think Volente is a good trader.

What have I missed? Has the birdman called an equal amount of 'howlers' aswell, that i failed to see?

the bird makes some great calls, there is no doubt. I knew a guy like him at the CBOT- the dude was about 4 foot tall (not that there is anything wrong with that).

On his thread last year, ALMOST EVERYONE agreed he "is an idiot" The reason why he is considered an idiot (even as he makes good calls)I think is 2-fold

1-his constant pining for attention inevitable gets him into trouble
just like a little child, they dont care how they get attention they find a way to get it

2- all the bullshit littlegirly games he plays with all his aliases

all in all, I think its funny and adds some humor to ET, but it is kinda sad to see a guy with some great skills act like a "usedrubber"

Oh come on steelinyourhead, give it a rest. 1) "almost everyone" agreed? LIAR! Pull up the link to any thread you're referring to and produce it. Not only is "almost everyone" agreed a lie, but it was never even over 50%. So your "almost everyone" is actually a minority. Anyway, It;s a badge of honor to me that 40%-45% (includes the multiple longshit votes) find me to be an idiot.

I agree. rubberbird makes good calls on the market from what I've seen and those calls are a hell of a lot more interesting and germane to the point of this board than the weird stalking and ranting and raving by some of the people here.

I realize this is the internet and any chat board is going to be cursed with a certain amount of angry nerds with time on their hands. I just wish some of the flaming assholes here would get banned. That would fix things up a bit.
