It doesn't matter to me if he made money, a good call is a good call regardless of trading it. However, we must wait until feb 1 to give full congrats.

keep up the good work rubberbird.

what the hell is your problem savage? lets assume that he is lilduck, then so what, the rubberbird personality has made some good calls.

Is it me or does this business attract some real nuthouses?

You are right, a good call is a good call. But how often have you heard (or said yourself) "I knew the stock was going to so and so price", or "the stock was obviously going lower, look how weak it looked before it made the down move."

Its all too often that many good calls are made but no wager was placed (not saying you didnt trade your idea rubberbird, just speaking in general). "Good calls" are just wasted opportunities if they arent traded.

sure steve, however when we just say it to ourselves we are usually guilty of confirmation bias. rubber posts his on the web and that's a different game because you can empirically track his predictions. I count him correct on 3 of 4 not including his end of year prediction of 1241, but that's not thorough. If you think just calling like this is easy then by all means join in and give us yours.

btw i did trade it. I was leaning towards getting out from my long and i did last thursday since rubber tipped the balance. if i can buy again lower (S&P500) then it will have turned out to save me $.

Nice Call Bird!!!!!

Do you think it to be a short-term, intermediate or long term top?

As long as the bonds and utilities are holding up well, I do not think we'll see a massive sell-off or a crash.

Would like to hear your opinion!!!!!

Well.... i still wanna wait till the end of the month. Theres alot of buying coming in tomorrow.

Rubberbird may have won..... but im not shaken by this drop.... However........ if we close the week below 10850 on YM..... then i will concede...... it must bounce decisively from this area by Friday...or all is lost for me. :(

Where is the buying coming in from?

this area has support....... there will be buying.

I don't know who all died in the Titanic... i just know if a ship sinks in ice water without enough life boats, there will be people dying.

........ err... perhaps that was not the best analogy

Yeah, the area has support, until it breaks....what then?
