Technically I'm wrong

The best kind of wrong. It is like me saying bitcoin not going to hit 3000, it did go over by a few bucks in a few exchanges, but that was the top...(well, so far)

Technically I'm wrong
But the top is in and I'm still holding my short calls in SPY
See you hoes lower

You are just wrong period. The whole idea of calling a "top" on US indexes is stupid. I could list dozens of failed top call threads on this site, and I would be surprised if there is even one successful top call where a short was covered with a 10% gain. The percentages that short players have theoretically lost on this site calling "tops" on US indexes are massive ( e.g. deadbroke, nitro, S2007S, ... ). Even gaining 10% on a well timed top call now can't rate against the magnitude of those losses.

I'm not concerned with all the other "well timed" calls. Entering a short trade before a swing lower low and lower high, is high risk, but also offers the lowest initial risk. Must be ready to exit quickly, and wait.........

No. --it can't be both ways--
Ok, remind me, WHY are you trying to call the "top" of one of the most analyized, liquid, traded indexes ? Where is the trade even if you are right ? Long expensive puts ? Short Es, etc with supper tight stops ? Not getting the risk/reward.

Whole bunch of other sectors and asset classes to play with.

I'm wrong 22% of the time
But gaining 100% on short call premium
makes up for my shortcoming

:)
