I went long near the close, but Polenta hasn’t even posted one of his fictional longs? What gives? I’ll not clutter the thread, but I’ll post tomorrow’s PNL and I suggest that Polenta do the same. See ya on Saturday, Boys!

I say the bottom is in on the S&P 500 at 2441

We will bounce 200 handles from here

Usually bottoms are frantic selling with A TON of news coverage. I usually get a few facebook messages from my buddies who were long some stocks and are not to sure what to do. I don't see any of that right now. I say we got another 5%- 10% to go :)

Could be a bottom area, bears are full of them LOL.On daily, weekly, monthly looks like much more bear trends. If all of them buy late monday, i may help shorts cover. But Art Cashin went thru 1987 + said not to long ago ''buyers boycott'' LOL. NOT a prediction.:cool:[Even if i was sure DEC 31would be upticks, probably not buying unless 50 period ma looks better.

You should know PA better than that Vol... 2375-80 needs to be kissed.

Today`s savior was PPT when in Free Fall ... No question about that!

Smack the lifts... Daily TL Kiss the say C`est La Vie........

I was at the gym today and CNN had on the little window in the bottom right showing the live shot of NYSE with the Dow change. I don’t watch CNN so not sure that’s usually there.

That to me was all the convincing I need to know we are at or near a short term bottom.

The bad thing about investing is that you keep on looking for bottom.
and when price hits the bottom, you go long the stock.

And after you long the stock, price continues its downward journey.

I actually think we had a decent price action for temporary bottom. Over the long haul, I think we are in a bear market from November this year (yeah the fall started in October but we had a few of those before making new highs) to who knows how long but expecting at least one year. Not expecting all time highs if this market bounces. But predictions don't work. We all know that .
