China needs more coal,
Europe needs more gas/oil,
India needs more coal,
The US needs more diesel,
etc
Suddenly everyone needs to burn more coal/oil/gas.
And the sea level continues to rise higher and higher

Or cities like Venice or Suzhou (just saw a documentary about it on PBS) that are built literally on water. I think these two cities are going to disappear by the end of this century. So sad.

it took millions of years for the earth to make coal, crude oil ...
it will take just a few hundred years to release all those trapped CO2 into the atmosphere.
And then what?
