The Righties and their "Ignore Feature"...

Quote from cgroupman:

You start with logic, watching both networks, knowing full well they have their individual biases. Then you end up with, left, Midol, and blowhards. It sort of negates the non-bias stance you started with.
I'm just saying.

Right, and when you used the word "we" to describe your disappointment with Obama, you set the benchmark for objectivity?

My 'we' is simply that I voted for him, as did many of my more conservative friends. I wish he would have done more, and I hope he does in his second term, if that's how it turns out. My friends who did not vote him are not in need of Midol, except perhaps when watching the Republican debates. And, are not 'blowhards'. OK, sorry, small attempt at humor.

Can you please drop the pious horseshit, and quit pretending you are a well balanced centrist who is here making sure everyone gets a fair shake? You arent fooling anyone, when you spend all your time on this site defending the left, and attacking the right, while you pretend to be above the fray. People arent stupid.

Here you are defending OWS, and immediately switching to attacking conservatives, when confronted with a derogatory remark about OWS.....

Quote from cgroupman:

Watched the whole thing. Bill said that since most of the 'real' initial OWS types are no longer there, only the campers and others who are just hanging out are there. So the principled people have pretty much left.

He also noted the study of 15,000 people who had low IQ's at age 10, now tested at age 33, were likely to be racist and conservative in their values. Bill is ok, but hardly a source for social change.

Then your very next move, when confronted with a thread about the Tea party is to go on the attack...

Quote from cgroupman:

Am I wrong when I check numbers that the actual group who call themselves teaparty(ers) has shrunk considerably? I think they have pretty much gone home and are hopefully considering candidates on their merits, rather than being told who to like or who to dislike. I realize that there were supposedly members from both parties, and some libertarians to boot, I just don't hear much from them these days.

edit: found this:

So it’s interesting to note that according to the internals of today’s New York Times poll, the Tea Party is rapidly shrinking before our very eyes, and is hemorraging supporters at a surprising rate:

Do you consider yourself to be a supporter of the Tea Party movement, or not?
Yes 18
No 73
The 18 percent who self-identify as Tea Party supporters is at its lowest point, tying the 18 percent who supported it way back in April of 2010, when it was first gaining steam as the Congressional races of last cycle began heating up. The trajectory is interesting: The Times poll shows the Tea Party has had some ups and downs, but it steadily gained supporters as the 2010 campaigns wore on, and peaked with 31 percent of the electorate saying they supported the movement at around the time that the GOP won its massive 2010 victory.

Quit playing Games like RCG trader, no one likes a Phony.....

WTF is it with you guys on the left who are completely unwilling to admit you are left wing..... are you really that ashamed of your beliefs?

Quote from cgroupman:

OK, I would hope you would agree that we can have better discourse if we stopped all the childish comments, yes, even 'stupid' is, well, stupid.

c

I do, but that's unfortunately not going to happen as long as people don't have to sit in front of the person they are responding to. The best we can hope to do is minimize it.

Good point. But what if someone actually says something stupid? Like, say, if Buffett really wants the rich to pay more taxes, then he should just go ahead and pay more taxes himself. And then the person stands behind such a vacuous statement. And when you explain to him that one person not peeing in the pool is not going to make a difference, but that everyone has to play to make it work, it falls on deaf ears. Tell me, cgroupman, how would you characterize such a position taken by someone?

(Oh, and I didn't call him stupid. I just suggested he go live with Ayn Rand's John Galt on his island, which immediately prompted Tsing to place me on ignore. It seems that silly and dismissive comments only work for him if they go one way. And upon the return volley, I offended the poor dear's delicate sensibilities.)

Max,

There was another alias on here last year that was a carbon copy of cgroupman, named "Olias". Do you remember him? Played this same "pious horseshit" character as you call it. :D

I played no games, the GOP and it's step cousin the neocons in libertarian drag are just rediculous, and this will be borne out in November, and then you will go into your sheeple, end of America, schick.

A wise man gets on the right side of the issues.

Well, well. Glad to see Max and others are reading what I post. And, no other alias or anything. I'm still a centrist, as defined by most. Social liberal leaning, Fiscal conservative always. Don't mean to sound pious or even 'kumbaya' - but I do post what I honestly feel. And, I have agreed with many from the right here on ET.
