The Rich pay more then their fair share in taxes.

taxing through property tax is the most immoral system of all.
contrast the two. if you have a nice house and a good job no problem but if you lose your job or ability to make an income under property taxation the government can take your property.
under income taxation if you lose your job or ability to make an income you are excused from paying taxes. all around its the best system.
 
As my grandad always used to say- You have to be stinking rich or stinking poor- its the guys in the middle that hit the hardest

So u want to argue specifics, but make general examples.. you know what I meant.

Fair = everyone would pay the same % on their income. Not at subjective, increasing levels of theft. I completely despise the tax code for several reasons. Enforced federal taxes are a contradictory policy to a free society. I think a flat rate consumption tax is the most FAIR policy for the US. One of its many pros over the current system would be that the govt would contract during a recession - a 180 from what its done since '08.
 
The fairest possible tax would not involve this horribly invasive process of reporting income. It would be a consumption tax. The rich that spend more would pay more taxes. A consumption tax would be fair to all of us because it would curb runaway government spending. People would realize that government costs money every time they made a purchase. If the founding fathers had foreseen the rise of Marxist Socialist garbage they would have made a constitutional mandate requiring that taxes all be consumption taxes, it was the only kind of tax they had at the time, and that only on imports.. In the age of computerized transactions the consumption tax could not be easier to implement...

Actually I think it's immoral to allow those who's subsistence depends on not paying taxes, be allowed to vote, or get a driver's licence.

They need to beg, walk or ride a bike to work.
