This is all starting to make a lot of sense to me now, nojob.
I read somewhere recently that older gay men, such as Jesus and Peter, have much more wealth than the average man of similar age. (I guess they weren't all that old, but considering how much longer people live today, they were old for their time, right?) And now we know where that money comes from: the mouths of fish!

Sorry guys, but Random.Capital is correct. It is not so cut and dried as you might have been misled to think.
Every size of private sector is more efficient than the government. Period. Government is a waste. Nothing but. There is so much corruption and wasteful spending that I shouldn't even get started. Large or small, the board of directors keeps these things in line, and far more effectively than any government ever could.
large companies will not stay large if they are inefficient. smaller companies and more agile large companies will undermine them and lead to their demise. that is what competition does under capitalism.
government entities are not subject to the rigors of the market place they don't care what they pay their managers or workers since the public is footing the bill. getting rid of deadwood is near impossible.

Some large companies have the protection of the government. They are large and influential enough to socialize their mistakes onto the population. Their mistakes do not lead to their demise.
I think zdreg's point is important. Government entities are isolated from the rigors of the market place and this can lead to inefficiency. On the other hand we have examples of extremely large companies, like the old GM. They may have been efficient, but probably were not. They went bankrupt nevertheless. And whether they were efficient or not, the management made very bad decisions. That sort of thing can happen in either the private sector, or the government sector. And too, we have plenty of recent examples of very large companies, who would be bankrupt but for their political clout and ability to socialize their losses, as Market Masher pointed out.

I don't see any evidence to support the idea that government can never do anything as well as the private sector. These simple minded generalizations just don't hold up on close inspection.
And too, I have to agree with luisHK, the "lover" classes do live much better today. I shall die happy so long as I can live my life in the lover class.

I can understand why you want to live your life in the lover class but it sounds more like you want to live your life in the lower class. u will undoubtedly succeed.
