The rich are waging class warfare on the poor

Quote from bone:

Families making less than $50K per year do not pay any federal income tax - in fact, if they fill out a tax return they get check from the US Treasury in the form of an earned income tax credit.

The fact of the matter is that half of US adults pay no federal income tax at all.

Your original premise is as unconvincing as you are clueless.

yes, and federal income tax apparently accounts for 20% of us taxes. So they must pay 80% of other taxes, otherwise it's not logical they lose income over time. if i stop paying taxes overnight my income rises by 30%, it does not drop 30%.

Quote from Lucrum:

It's not hard to see why you're a failure.

it's not hard to see why you and bone are preoccupied with my nickname. you don't have anything else to put forward. :p this is like the 10th time you used the word fail, only because i use it in my name. Can you say, obsessed?

incidentally, another tactic used by the rich supporters while warfaring. "Poor people are poor because they're failures." Obviously :p

Quote from dumb_mother:

the poor get poorer and the rich get richer for a pretty simple reason- the rich lend the poor money so that they can live beyond their means for a little while- and then the poor pay interest on the debt for the rest of their lives giving the rich more of their money. well that and how the information age has made everyone more efficient- these advantages are used much better by the top of the top, so naturally they are able to distance themselves a bit more from everyone else.

the great thing about america though- is that it is possible to become one of those top 1%. several of the richest people in the world didn't come from wealth cradle to grave, but got there themselves. that is what the american dream really is. who cares what the gap between rich and poor is when you can be born into poverty and die shitting on a golden toilet. there aren't many places in the world with that kind of economic freedom, and it is just plain impossible to do in communist or socialist countries where becoming wealthy is impossible because they fear the gap.

i love the gap, i just hope i can close it and get into that top 1%.

nobody lends the poor money. i think you mistake the middle class for the poor. also, graph is about income, not expenses. lending money does not influence income.

Top 1% had income rise by 125% share of pie since 1980. Bottom 20% had income drop 30% share of pie

The rich are stealing money from the poor, that much is certain.

Im shocked

Get a life.

Good, then we have an understanding. You're a certified self admitted failure.

Quote from failed_trad3r:

This is one obvious tactic by the rich supporters. claiming poor are class warfaring, though poor seem to be incapable of winning a battle which is funny. As the rich got richer, the poor got poorer, somehow the poor is waging class warfare on the rich. All i can say is LOL.:) :D

For all the unions, all the progressive taxes, all the retoric by the rich, all the paying no income taxes, the poor stealing from the rich, still after 30 years, the poor got poorer and the rich got richer!

Rich waging war on poor? Propoganda! Read history. This has happened before, many times. The truth is, it's not the rich waging war on the poor, or the rich waging war on the middle class. It's the middle class waging war on the rich. The poor represent the largest population in society. And if the middle class is ever going to overtake the rich and replace them, they're going to need the support of the poor. So, they spread lies about the rich oppressing the poor in order to gain the support of the poor. The middle class is just ambitious enough to be tired of not being in control, and they're doing something about it. That's why the group as a whole is shrinking. They're moving. Some intentionally, others falling to into poverty.
So, yes, the poor are waging war on the rich. But not on their own strength. Like the story of Robin Hood, the poor need a representative to work on their behalf (the middle class). Unlike Robin Hood, however, when their representative succeeds, he will not stay with them in the forest. He'll abandon them as the new rich.

Quote from peilthetraveler:

The reason for incomes falling is that the rich are working harder and the poor are getting lazier. Have you seen kids today how lazy they are? They only want to play video games, look at porn and go get high. This is why the income gap is spreading.

Yeah and only the rich kids can afford the newest bestest game consoles. The poor kids have to sell drugs or be an assistant for their father who is a professional gardener just to get by.

I see what you're saying man. IT IS A DISASTER!!

You seem to make sense, then you don't. If we have an understanding it's that you are obsessed with my nickname. You are obsessed with failure, as if you are one yourself. :) Me on the other hand, will join those in the top 1%.

And you cannot structure a sound arguement for shit.

We are all still waiting for you to produce an example where the rich are by design and intent stealing from the poor.
