Tell me, do you think that the fairly widespread existence white supremacists in police departments across the country suddenly went inert? You don't think they make their presence known in one way or another to those they consider inferior to them?If you want to talk about systemic corrosion, as you put it, i would cooncede the fact that there are areas of the legal system where black people get the shaft, Drug laws, sentencing, etc.....
But thats not the rhetoric coming from black lives matter, or the liberal media, they are selling a narrative where innocent blacks are being gunned down in the streets by hill billy cops for no reason, this narrative has shown to be completely false, even a black harvard economist came to the conclusion that cops are less likely to shoot black people than white people.
This rhetoric has caused alot of nut jobs to take this on as their own personal war, and we are seeing the consequences, 11 cops dead in just two weeks.
From the link originally posted in this forum regarding the Harvard study:
" While black people are more likely than white people to be touched, handcuffed, thrown against a wall, pushed to the ground, and have weapons pointed at them by the police..."

So if you cannot understand the frustration and outrage felt by people who are singled out for no reason other than what they look like, then you're the one who's inert.
I don't condone any violence against innocent people. I am upset by the social physics of action/reaction that perpetuates a bad situation. But to throw your hands up in the air and ask wtf is either disingenuous or vacuous. And in any event, the senseless killings you refer to were not attributed to the movement but to crazed lone gunmen. Please keep your straw to yourself.
