The Republican Debates

DeSantis came across as nothing more than a mean, nasty gnome. This debate put the nail in his coffin for his presidential ambitions. Even Fox News agrees - DeSantis came out as the biggest loser.

DeSantis is weak.

The worst moment for DeSantis came when the moderators asked the candidates to indicate whether they would support Trump for president, should he win the nomination. Everyone but Christie and Asa Hutchinson signaled support for the former president; DeSantis raised his hand only after seeming to look left and right for reassurance. Viewers took note.

He’s too excitable. He just comes off as nutty. You can tell he practices lines from Batman in his bathroom mirror.
He just doesn't come off as real. He should practice being real in the mirror. And less of an asshole. Also, DeSantis was just a bundle of rage seeking expression. Pence was a bit too studied, reaching for gravitas. ("Ah, but a man's reach should exceed his grasp, or what's a heaven for?")The rest seemed okay, not that I agree with their policies, and perhaps the most genuine were Christie and Haley. Mind you, I only watched the first 40 minutes or so.

DeSantis did poorly at the debate...

DeSantis mocked for angry and robotic debate performance: 'You're on TV not Twitter'
