I have sensed that as well. He has a very soft, pampered look. His brother W at least was a manly man.
If you ever want to watch interesting philosophical debates, watch these "Justice with Michael Sandel" videos, which are lessons from a lawyer who teaches at Harvard, over what is right and what is wrong as it pertains to the law.
Anyways, in one of the debate he talks about social justice, and the nature vs nurture debate. One thing that was truly eye opening for me, at one point he asks the students to raise their hands if they are the oldest in their family, and 90% of the harvard law class puts their hands up. The implication is that if you are the younger one in your family you are more likely to be soft.
This debate made me depressed for alot of years especially when i struggled as a young starting trader cause i wondered if i was doomed to failure, but thankfully my sister is a real unambitious moron, so i hope it doesnt apply here.
But its a weird concept that as a younger sibling you are far less likely to be successfull, far less likely to have a dominant/leader personality. He also asked the people in his audience to raise their hands if they were born in january through april, and again the vast majority raised their hands, cause again you are more likely to be a leader when you have that advantage on your classmates as a young kid.
Reason im thinking of this is because like you said, Jeb really seems like the beta male when compared to George, not that George was any prize.
Here is an example of one of these Michael Sandel courses, where they talk about the morality of murder, and he goes over "grey areas" like an old british case law where some people were stranded at sea, and they drew straws for who was going to die in order to feed the others who were starving, so the question is "is that murder?" If your all going to die if you cant find food, or you can off one of the people in your group who was stuck at sea is it murder if it was necessary?
These really are fantastic philosophical debates.
