The reason why Christianity seems so unrealistic and naive

Quote from Free Thinker:

christianity is so naive because they are indoctrinated from birth to believe that the bible is the infalible word of god. everything they believe comes from the bible. there is no outside evidence.
if the bible has errors what they believe could be wrong. the only way out of this quandry is to embrace willfull ignorance. they just refuse to believe anything that differs from the bible to the point where they teach their children this:

"if conclusions contradict the word of God, the conclusions are wrong no matter how many scientific facts may appear to back them."biology textbook printed by conservative Christian publisher Bob Jones University Press

you wrote ''no outside evidence''

With all due respect are you implying , like a saturn photo...;
time is a constant??

Maybe you want to read Al Einstein a bit more LOL. Time is not a constant, option traders already proved that also.LOL And maybe you want to read some Egyptian science some more. not that its comparable with Moses/hebrew prophet.

You may want to look into some medical miracles;
confirmed by Christian medical doctors.
conformed by non Christian medical doctors. Plenty of outside evidence.
:cool: Thanks

Quote from Ricter:

Yeah, well, when science is presented supporting social policy we don't like, then science aint so grand, is it?

Not sure I can think up any science that supports social policy that atheists do not like. Theists though pretty much detest social policy that is supported by science. They tend to attack the science using anecdotal or pseudo science. Sometimes though, they are justified in doing this because the science is flawed and that flaw is often discovered when the science has to be defended.

there has never been a medical miracle confirmed by science.

Man this is a long thread. Haven't read any of it but who's got time to read threads and have a life; my lawn, grocery shopping, NBA playoffs and some ET threads. Just wanted to ask; are they using agnostic arguments to support christianity again ...not fair.

More or less. But not christianity per se, just theism in general.

With all due respect,You may want to Xchange/change your nickname & writing -
both are wrong:D

Also since the Bible doesnt say the age of the earth;
neither you nor anyone knows exactly.Psalms 90 notes 1000 years is like yesterday to God, so no matter the exact age of the earth;God doesn't view time like we do. Thanks.

Also ,since another name for Christians is ''repenters'';
which means a change of mind/change of motion. Its the non-repenters which are the most unflexible.

Besides, [American...] Christians have a good track record of calling public Church errors just that-errors;
like the POPE is NOT infallible ,
no matter how many Catholics tell you that:cool:
Spell checker not used.

Quote from PatternRec:

This is a failure to prove totality is God and vice versa. You might think it's sufficient. But all it is, is a conceptualization.

Go(o)d is a Whole Totality. The experience of "the world" of time and mass is a concept expressing a kind of reverse pantheism in imagination. It represents everything that is not Go(o)d.
