I've long had the idea to connect a basic neurointerface to issue trades to reduce latency. Assume someone has already tried this though given there have been commercial off the shelf interfaces for a few years already.
More sophisticated mind reading technologies will be put to good use in dictatorships. Democracy will be a distant memory in the near future.
