The real reason for the war on Drugs. Its all about supporting the Bureaucracy.

Sorry, I cant tell if this is sarcasm(i think it is).... if it is please forgive me, as it is tough to decipher over the internet..... :D

If you are wondering what i meant basically i was implying that people are not working in their own best interests when they do too much of ANYTHING.

So as it pertains to the internet, yes, if a person spends their entire life talking to people on the internet, as opposed to going out in the real world and meeting people, then they are infact causing themselves harm. There are lots of people out there who sit and play world of warcraft all day and never see the real world. So the internet is a huge detriment to their life, in a similar way that drugs can be a detriment to other peoples lives, if they choose to only sit there and do drugs all day.

The bottom line is that all of these things can be harmful if abused, but do we reallly want someone else making this choice for us? Or do we want to make these choices for ourselves?

Aye, sarcasm.

You're right about computer time. Had the internet been around when I went to college, well, I probably would not have finished.

Quote from Max E. Pad:

Everything we can imagine is the "opium of the masses"

Everyone has their "opium"

Some people drink too much alcohol, some watch too much t.v. some spend too much time on the internet, some do to many drugs, some smoke too much, some eat to much, and some like working too much, or playing too many sports, some like to go in drag races, some like rock climbing, some like heli-skiing, some like cliff diving.

Everyone has something they like to do to pass the time, if we go down the road of controlling what people should and shouldnt do, there is alot of harmful things we could eliminate which are far more dangerous then weed.

Some like to smuggle too many drugs and kill too many people while doing it.

The War on Drugs and War on Poverty have both failed. What they have in common is a bureaucracy that needs money. Democrats are sneaky sickos who steal your money with taxes, Republicans just get bully boys to steal it from you and put the legal onus on you to get it back...

Props to the news station for the investigative work. That takes some balls to go after law enforcement and risk the public scorn of possibly siding with drug trafficers.

It's things like this that make me so happy we live in the age of social networking. If this kind of thing bothers you, it doesn't take much to do something about it. Spread the word. Put it on your facebook and ask that the video be shared. Once law enforcement and big brother realize that their bullshit will be held up to the light then we have a chance to improve things. The days of seeing a story like this and just throwing up your hands and whining about it are over. I'll be putting this on Facebook for sure.

They are unwinnable!! There will always be lazy people and there will always be drug addicts. It is a waste of resources.
