B Barth Vader Jan 19, 2009 #3 This is the problem when an individual man, whether it be MLK, George Washington, Abe Lincoln or Angus, is honored specifically. No man is worthy. If we need paid holidays, then group days such as Veterans, Memorial, Labor, etc., is the only way to go. A Civil Rights "day" would have been better, in my opinion.
