the ratio of the netprofit/the drawdown is a little greater than 2

I do not know if it is proper

I find it is easier to grasp profits for trend following system

for me counter trend system can not grasp much profit as the

trend follwing system

net profit for so far this year or this month ?

and DD for so far this year or this month ?

time duration matters a lot

counter trend system is not meant to catch home runs which is the job of trend following system, it is meant to be a diversification and smoothe the equity curve. it is generally of bigger winning rate and smaller average profit per trade

First 15 min range breakout is a pretty well studied concept.

In fact, many has extended the concept to include first hour, first 2 hours, etc. to see if better stability can be obtained from doing so.

The important thing is to understand the instrument you are going to trade and see if the range breakout concept fit the behaviour of that particular market.

almost everymonth in this year the ratio varys between 2-3

I think generally it's more meaningful to make duration longer,say the ratio of annual net profit / annual max drawdown

but if you get a profit/drawdown ratio of 2-3 on monthly result every month, I think that's a superb system with a very good profit factor,
and since it can always recover itself within a month's time, it is also a very safe system to trade
