It shouldn't be long before the SPLC condemns Time magazine for its hateful rhetoric and disturbing "Far Right" conclusions about minorities.
I'm referring to two recent articles about education which draw some very politically incorrect conclusions you wouldn't expect to normally see in the mainstream media:
1.) According to the U.S. Department of Education, the stubborn "achievement gap" between White and Hispanic students hasn't budged in 20 years.
2.) Because of legal and illegal immigration from Latin America, the Hispanic student population, which is two grades below the White population, has surged from 2 percent to 21 percent.
3.) The achievement gap between Hispanic students who are English language leaners and Hispanic students who are proficient at English is greater than the gap between Hispanic students and White students.
Hispanic English language learners are four grades below English-speaking Hispanics who are themselves two grade levels below White students. Multiculturalism is keeping them isolated in a linguistic ghetto.
4.) By 2050, the Hispanic population is expected to grow from 16 percent of the American population to 30 percent.
Now, what does this mean for America?
Logically, it means that unless there is a dramatic reversal in the "achievement gap" which has remained unchanged for 20 years, America is guaranteed to fall even further behind the other industrialized nations in education.
Two weeks later, Time magazine publishes another article about education, which reaches even more startling conclusions.
5.) Every year more than $7 billion dollars is spent on Head Start. Joe Klein claims there is now "indisputable evidence" that Head Start doesn't work. By the first grade, the "positive effects" of Head Start vanish.
The results were so "shocking" that the Department of Health of Human Services squatted on the study for several years. A senior Obama administration official reportedly told Joe Klein that Head Start is nothing more than a "jobs program."
Head Start is the U.S. federal government's flagship attempt to fight the root causes of poverty in the United States and to erase the infamous "achievement gap" between "low-income children" and their peers.
Time magazine and the Obama administration are labeling Head Start "criminal" and "even more outrageous" than "tax breaks for oil companies." They say it is "Time To Ax Programs That Don't Yield Results."
Don't shoot the messenger. I guess they didn't get the memo from SPLC headquarters: dude, that's racist.
