The pump and dump thread

The last time I tried to explain that situation I was threatened with a lawsuit, so I guess we will just have to leave it with that it did not work out and it hit its stop and was closed.

I was part of Brandon's managed funds program and lost a few dollars on it. Brandon shut it down when it was clear it wasn't working. As a room member for the past year I have watched Brandon use different trading methodologies to find the sweet spot in the market. If something isn't working he moves on. He goes where the money is. I have more then made back my losses in that program with the trades he gives in the room.
 
It is a rare opportunity when experienced traders are willing to share and post actual trades.

I cannot speak for their past managed account program but I have been working with them in there current managed account program which follows some of their room calls. The main difference, I understand, is they trade my account themselves rather then have an outside broker do it. For the past 6 weeks that I have participated it has been consistently profitable. I am sure there will be a drawdown in the future but it looks like there will be enough profits to cover it.
 
Today I had two trades in the ES which resulted in a total of 4 1/2 points. Also the NQ trade which you saw here, that resulted in an average gain of 6 points.

In stocks had:

OAKT from 5.26 to 5.32
IMAX from 8.23 to 8.35
ACDO from 18.10 to 18.70
BOBJ from 23.05 to 23.16 (half off). The other half is still open as a swingtrade.
AMR 6.14 to 6.15
XLNX from 28.58 to 28.69
AKAM from 2.90 to 3.30
SINA from 12.57 to 12.40
ING 18.70 to 18.60.

Overall it was a much better day then I had thought it would be. We will see what tomorrow and the FOMC bring, usually a very slow day.

One of the most important concepts in trading is that nothing moves in a straight line. Even the strongest of trends will have resting periods characterized by either sideways movement or retrenchments. This is a function of the market that is as true as the fact that the sun rises in the east, and thank goodness for that because these kind of cycles give us very good trading opportunities. Right now many key stocks have come up to the top or recent ranges, others are at prior resistance points, so the next several days will be key. For the time being I would expect to see a slight pullback. Depending on how much of a pullback we see we will be able to determine with a fair degree of certainty how much more upside is left.

I think Toni made the trade of the day. She traded the boredom and potential frustration of the Fed day for sleep by going back to bed. She always has been the brains of the operation.
