The Presidential Debates

Argumentum ad passiones, argumentum ad populum.

Reminds me of Piezoe, arguing so passionately over the fact that he isn't a Liberal, but a Classical Libertarian simply because the book definition fits, while everyone who is a part of the Human Race alive today actually defines his viewpoint as Liberal.

Having the technical high ground must be a great way to win friends and influence people.

FACT CHECK: Is Left-Wing Violence Rising?

"...their numbers are tiny in relation to the mainstream political left. And, say experts, it's misleading for right-wing groups to suggest that the Antifa are more violent than right-wing extremists...

...In the past 10 years when you look at murders committed by domestic extremists in the United States of all types, right-wing extremists are responsible for about 74 percent of those murders..."

Now do property damage, arson, rape, and battery.

Lol, ok.

The point is, Ricter, which you're certainly smart enough to get should you put aside the desire to be overly pedantic, is that the effects of Communism is what people are hoping to avoid. Not whether someone pretending to be Cliff Clavin can stand around pontificating that "technically it wasn't communism if the elites were in control distributing items of value, there Normie."

Neither is likely here, which is the good thing.

It's an important distinction, and one which can be made here, among readers and writers. Who in their right mind is trying to win friends here at P&R, like it's a party?

I did. The mention of Timothy McVeigh in the 1990s doesn't suffice as an argument.
Really? So that's what Wray was referring to?

...When asked about the greatest domestic terrorism threats facing the U.S., Wray did not name antifa. Instead, he cited the kinds of violent extremists historically more likely to side with the president. “Within the domestic terrorism bucket, the category as a whole, racially motivated violent extremism is, I think, the biggest bucket within that larger group, within the racially motivated violent extremist bucket,” said Wray. “People ascribing to some kind of white supremacist-type ideologies is certainly the biggest chunk of that.” The bureau chief went on to note that, when it comes to extremist violence in the U.S., 2019 was the deadliest year since 1995, when white supremacist Timothy McVeigh killed 168 people by bombing a federal building in Oklahoma City...

As I recall, it was the Intercept that did a good summary of it, this year. I would guess, could be wrong of course, that the shooting at the "black" church alone is enough to exceed left wing based homicides.
