the pope"health care is an inalienable-right". wwjd

Quote from Free Thinker:

one of the hallmarks of the right wing that is mostly made up of white christians is the attitude of "i have my health care so screw every one else". they are in almost total oposition to the health care plan obama got into law. i wonder how they rationalize this.

Moron. Most Christians and Catholics are not the same organized religious class, especially as it relates to US Christianity.

But you already knew that.

Notice in the course of all this talk on health care costs, the only area that has been address is the insurance side of it.

I've not heard one discussion on the reason costs are so high- the insurance industry isn't setting the costs of health care...
:D

Grant him that. You don't think GOP Christians, of the kind we see in the news, and legislating, are real Christians, do you?

they think they are but i think the jesus character would disagree. anyone who actually studied the message of jesus would have to come to the conclusion that jesus was a socialist at heart and yes he would support universal health care.

No, Catholics are Christians, but the Christian movement in this country that you denigrate is not Catholic. And guess what, these Christians don't give a crap what the Pope says.

But you already knew that.

Hell, our Christians don't give a crap what Jesus said. But you already knew that.

It is in your best personal interest to willingly give something of yourself. Giving has positive health benefits, to be a victim of theft has negative psychological and health consequences. And be responsible for yourself: put some effort into keeping and improving your health, instead of trying to take it from someone. Create instead of take. When that concept is understood and applied, no one will want universal health care.

I do not understand the reasoning of taking from a finite amount that will run out instead of creating infinitely more.

The characters involved in the socialist message-agenda is to forcefully take from others, keep 90% to strengthen and empower themselves to take more, and use the remaining 10% to oppress and further weaken the recipient to keep the cycle going.

just to clarify. i do not support free universal government supplied healthcare. i was just pointing out that the pope does.
what i would support is an option of an expansion of medicare for all paid for by a payroll tax withholding.

The insurance companies have no interest in keeping down the cost. They are perfectly happy with taking a percentage of a bigger and costlier health care system.

The drug companies have already agreed to a $80 billion in cost cutting over a 10-year period. The insurance companies have not agreed on any limit in their cost structure.
