The Poor cannot Vote in Hong Kong

In Hong Kong people who take welfare from the state or earn less than the local equivalent of being upper middle class - are not allowed to vote.

Hong Kong leader: Popular vote would give poor too much power

Hong Kong is one of the few places on the earth where a particular income level is needed to vote and takers are not allowed to vote. The theory being that only people who produce and earn reasonable income should have a voice in government, because they have the most to defend. Should other countries like the U.S. look at an income requirement to vote?

Should other countries like the U.S. look at a class requirement to vote?

He's correct. The poor should not be able to "vote themselves money/benefits/subsidies from other citizens".

In America's youth, it was that way for us too. Should be again.

Leftist DemoCraps disagree. They want as many people on the dole as possible... and for them to continue to vote for themselves to receive even more. Unfortunately, the parasite class in the US is already a bit >50%. I think they have "critical mass" (IOW... every election in the future will primarily be a referendum on the parasite class clinging to and/or even increasing their benefits at the expense of other citizens... no other issue will be relevant), so there will be no undoing of the damage... until the 2nd American Revolution, that is.

A 2nd American Revolution... where we throw off, again, the shackles of a class society where only the privileged have political power?

Where contributors to society and the accompanying costs. The parasite class DOES NOT CONTRIBUTE TO SOCIETY. They are an unwelcome, undeserved burden on the productive.

Fortunately in America, we have a mechanism and pathway for the poor to become not-poor... if only they would take advantage of the opportunity... BUT THEY DON'T..THEY'RE JUST PARASITES.

How about throwing off the shackles of the majority of Americans who work as tax slaves to provide welfare to the 47% who do no work at all.

That's how I feel about the growing mass of parasites at the top.

If we're talking about the poor, jobs are plentiful, they just won't take them. But if we're talking about the Obama economy, then jobs are scarce. Lol.

Stop teasing them with sense. It's mean.

"Parasites at the top"? The ones who PAY FOR EVERYTHING... THEY ARE THE PARASITES?
