You really shouldn't be quoting the financial media as they know j**k sh*t. They're the last to know anything and will just make whatever news or story they have fit with current prices.
If the futures were down they would be writing something about how investors are taking risk off facing uncertainty going into the midterm elections. It's the easiest job in the world.
Futures ain't up that much either. Big picture we're just about unchanged from yesterday.
