Don, what do you mean by this? That high of a price compared to what?

Thanks for your comments. Yes, no real open for NAs stocks...I'm more trying to take advantage of the volatility of the stocks at the open.

We tend to stay away from stocks over $100 in price due to too much slippage and too wide bid/ask spread. Some directional guys like the higher priced stocks however.

All the best,

Don

Just one fill on ALL. +$250 (shoulda waited a bit longer, once again).

edit: I posted this up and it didn't show up as new on the main board.

Also, I'm getting notices of posts on other threads, from the weekend etc., but when I go there, no weekend posts. Hmmm? Anyone else notice something weird on ET?

I guess I'll post in Feedback...

starting to do my research/practice on this theory today. One question...how do you guys pick the stocks to use? What I did, was go through the index weightings of the SPX members and chose 15 of the top 25 as my test sample. I set up my spreadsheet to do all of the calculations. Overall, very positive today. Can't quantify exactly because I had a glitch on my sheet, but going thru manually it looked good.

that is pretty much it...

liquid and listed...i use the oex as a base...

i see some people take out banks and brokers why is that? It seems over time that if it is for volatility reasons, that it would be good to have them in.

Ongoing "newsy" type stocks can be a problem. Same with earnings day. Depends on the trader's risk tolerance.

Since I try to develop new traders confidence and high winning percentage, I tend to be more conservative with my "leading by example."
