bloodbath today....got stopped out in gs
(3740.00)and then watched it fall back to the opening price...

did not block banks or brokerages other tham merrill...bad move...

10 fills / 32000 shares

-4876.00

if held...p & l is + 11,000.00 as of now...topped out at around 15,000 at 9:30 ish


still up on the day though...thank god it's friday...
 
Small +$350 on a couple of fills. No banks or brokers for me at all for the last week or so....sorry you got stuck today Mr. Chiguy, you'll get it back next week.

I know the strategy is to fade the initial move, but the last few weeks I have just let the positions run until I MOC out; been using a 1% stop loss on all open positions which I cancel at 12:39. My daily numbers are better than closing during the 1st 15 to 30 minutes. Majority of the trades have been shorts, today I had the most fills.

I am using a .8% envelope.

Wondered if any of the Masters have ever experienced the same.

+540, using 100 shares, submitting 48 stocks, 96 orders.

Our top guys have very staggered exit times, from 10 seconds to all day.

Curious, are you using .8 envelope from previous day's closing price, or adjusting for FV? Today, FV was 16 Spu points below where the market was opening. If I had a .8 envelope from there, I would never get filled.

No buy orders sent today at all, just sells.

Keep us up on how this works for you, we had a few guys in S.F. that did that all through the 90's, and did pretty well (bull market, however was probably responsible for a lot of it, LOL).
