In general, you want to use the closing price for your stocks, wherever you get it. But as a caveat, check to ensure that the closing price was not a big gap from where it was trading the last few minutes in the day.

One thing I did wrong on todays open was focusing on my losers than my winners. My losers I lower my share size too, to see if it goes bad again.
Isaac, right now I'm just learning how to do this, so I'm only 200-500 shares maximum on each one I enter. Fortunately, the 47 cent hit came on a stock that I decided to go for 200 shares on. No news on it either.
Looking at it right now, it's down another 70 cents from where I got out!
