I live five minute walk from Grant Park, where Obama is staging his party. There are swarms of people everywhere, where it seems mostly student aged people. It is a gorgeous cool evening, strangely befitting the occasion.
Some people have said to me, "even though I am not an Obama fan, there is something about the energy surrounding it all that is positive. It will be exciting for our city."
Besides Abraham Lincoln, this is the most politically important event in this states history, imo.
