Harm certainly is occurring to the biosphere. No doubt about it.
 
Whenever climate changes as fast as it has there will be harm to ecosystems. They don't like change. Especially rapid change like we are seeing. Trees can't move. Rising sea are flooding marshes. CO2 and rising is acidifying the oceans and killing oysters and coral reefs.

And it's only just begun.
