So OK, the NE has gotten 2.5 degrees warmer since 1960 allowing the southern pine beetle to move in. Same thing is happening in the west. So forests are starting to die. Just a small taste of what's to come.

no kidding, over the years I have noticed more and more dead armadillos on the road farther and farther north

If you like to walk in the woods and you live long enough, you notice subtle changes from the way it was when you were a kid

no way for me to know if it is manmade or just natural

at anyrate, bad for the trees, good for the beetles

So it is just like the Medieval Warm period when these same beetles moved north and ate all the pines & other soft trees as proven by the biological record.

It warms the atmosphere. That's why it's called a greenhouse gas. It causes a greenhouse effect.
