I wonder if they got to see any of the real world while they drove cross country? What did they think about the junky cars they were in? I suppose they didn't have to make many fuel stops, since they were hybrids. Maybe they went into the fueling centers to at least take a whiz and saw some real life people at least.
They should have made them drive Fords and Chevys with 100,000 miles on them. That would have been funny.
