The next Auto King may not be Toyota, GM or Ford

Here's a few possibilites on the next auto king. It's often said the most expensive item consumers buy is housing. I never was sure about that. Seems transportation is higher for some.

these numbers look opposite of Ford and GM's stock prices.

Business 2.0 did an article on what should be a major contender - note the range / speed of this vehicle is better than most low cost entries at Range / top speed: 112 miles / 62mph

Quote from tmarket:

The fortunes of Zenn car seems to be tied to a secretive capacitor energy company called EEstor.

This battery problem happened to my Rav4 too.
I did not realize the cause; I was puzzled and frustrated. Now that I understood what happened, I don't think I want to buy a Toyota again.

quote from the web:

I used to be a Toyota man but they have a thing with their computers that shut down the car if it thinks the battery is not full power. Even if it's starting fine it will shut down the car and you are walking. You can jump start the car but it will only go a block or two and then you are walking again.

I had this happen to my 1990 Lexus LS400 and my 2002 Tundra. It also happened to my brother's 1995 Avalon. It does not happen with my Subaru though as I left on the parking lights and ran down the battery to full dead. I jumped it and it's been fine ever since. (My Forester automatically turns off any lights left on, but they have a parking light switch on the steering column that by-passes that option for people who want the parking lights left on, I suppose at drive-ins or something. I clicked it on cleaning the car and didn't know about it.)

For this reason alone I will never buy another Toyota. I like to camp far from my home in central Pennsylvania, and I don't plan on getting into a Toyota and not be able to get a jump start it if the battery is weak. The only thing that corrects this is to buy a new battery.
