Dr. Fauci only believes if you are Vitamin D deficient, you should supplement yourself with Vitamin D3.

And the study that is mentioned in the article also states that it's only when you are Vitamin D deficient and untreated that you have a higher chance of testing positive for Covid-19. And only 35% of the adults in America is Vitamin D deficient, not half as you stated before. And right now there is insufficient data to confirm that Vitamin D is a viable prevention mechanism to Covid-19.

Ultraviolet sunlight is not the only way. And I was talking about the D3 form when I was talking about Vitamin D. I never said Vitamin D3 does not help. I know Vitamin D3 does help in strengthening your immunity but it's not just against covid-19, it's against everything so it's not a targetted therapy for preventing or treating covid19. You want to take whatever to strengthen your immunity to get yourself healthier that's fine but it is highly irresponsible to tout any unproven supplements or methods as targetted therapies against a severe disease like Covid-19. That's all I am saying.
I don't like fish and rarely eat eggs so not a lot of use to me.

You do get that obviously hand washing mask and distance failed right, if it was a real thing which it just isn't then this would of been over a year ago.

There was a drastic decrease in new case instances and death rate ever since mask-wearing was mandated in all around the world. And countries all around the world that mandated mask-wearing controlled the pandemic outbreak lot better.
You do realize that what kickstarted the 1st wave was a bunch of naive idiots who believed the sunlight will kill the virus and somehow they are immune to the virus and all crowded to the beach in Florida during the March Break and then came back from the beach, got sick and transmitted to everybody all over the country?

The protection from the vaccine (the mRNA ones) lasts at least for 8 months up to 2 years starting one week after the 2nd dose of Pfizer and 2 weeks after the 2nd dose of Moderna. The study results have already been published. You need to focus on the objective information instead of believing in all those conspiracy theories.
I never mentioned a "50% of americans" figure. I posted a paper where they said that 50% of 'hospitalized americans' are deficient. My problem was with the 'only 35%' in the middle of a pandemic. Probably countless. The RDA of Vit D in the US is an ridiculous 600 UI, which has lead to significant amounts of people being deficient and insuficient. They should have raised that to 4000 UI when the research came out showing that deficiency/insuficiency was associated with death and hospitalization, certainly when research came out it was much better than placebos at treating people with Covid. Mandatory fortification of foods (as they do in certain European countries) also would have been great, specially with stay at home orders all over the place. They should not let a crisis go to waste, but as I mentioned, common sense is often lacking in public policy, which was my OP point.
Why that happens to me is a very interesting question which I dont have all the answers to but I bet there is some influence from Big Pharma against this sort of thing
