I have been thinking of Cathy Wood and that mindset.
How many investors are out there thinking that inflation is dead just because the FED says so.
And the U.S. Treasury is upside down in debt.
The best thing that could happen to them is 5-10 years of high (but controlled) inflation.
Maybe a little bit higher than it is now.

But starting inflation is one thing.
Stopping it is entirely different.

Well the big oil companies said they weren't pouring profits into exploration and drilling because the gov't is pushing hard for everyone to buy electric vehicles. They are giving lots of incentives to the consumers and companies to avoid gas powered cars...so they aren't going to stockpile oil any more. This feels like one of those times where you really can see something coming. Given all of that and the severe curtailment of US oil operations, the history of OPEC and the winding down of shale drilling, it seems hard to think oil could possibly go lower from here.
