Claiming the Nazi's were leftists is twisting history. They came to power after having regularly street fights in Germany against the real leftists, the Communists.

What we do know is that the communists began the war on the side of the Nazis. And there is no evidence whatsoever that the commies changed sides because they 'didn't like the extermination of Jews. None'

And communists are a past tense, moderate left wing party. The American left today is more of a Fascist/Marxist hybrid with Stalinist tactics.
Actually moron, the Nazi's were socialists and were big government, nanny-state proponents just like the modern Democrat party in the US. They were opposed to small government, free market capitalism just like the modern Democrat party in the US.
