It was a grinding war that allowed the Democrats and the left to slam bush in his last three years.
The Democrats first voted to support Bush in Iraq then they bolted, just like Obama will do.
Obama knows to continue to fight in Afghanistan will grind his popularity numbers down. Even though it maybe the correct action.
This is why Obama will fight this war politically and not with a strategy to win.
Bottom line is that Bush was not a fuck up, Bush was a good president.
