i stand by my previous statement. some people like "the planet of the apes" and some don't.

also before ~ late 60s the Hollywood was not up the speed so there are very few good movies from that time, not just sci-fi. eventually, the Hollywood lost its edge so there are very few good movies produced nowadays.

recently i watched "Moon" (2009), a sci-fi movie with Sam Rockwell. no surprise there: it is a piece of garbage. don't waste your time on it.
