Not a bad film... 'till the end.
That fucking director has a lot of nerve. What a piece of liberal Hollywood shit he is. Should've known with the likes of Susan Sarandon, Josh Brolin and especially Jason "where did my career go" Patrick. Pinkos.
And Tommy Lee Jones... I did not expect this from him.

Monty Python & The Quest For The Holy Grail. I guarantee no one who ever watches that film predicts the ending.
The trouble with most twist endings is once you've seen lots of films, you start to predict them. Watch House of Games and tell me if you could predict it, that's a decent litmus test for your plot prediction skills

But... 7 pounds is worth watching? I took one glance at the thouroughly uncreative DVD cover, and just assumed it sucked.
Actually, I think guys like you & I are more or less the exception.
We make our livings by predicting shit, but have a hard time 'turning off' this ability in situations where it becomes a bit of a liability.
*GLOBAL SPOILER ALERTS*
The following are a few movie axioms I've noticed- Don't read these unless you want the endings to MANY films spoiled:
*Obi-wan/Morpheous syndrome: The wise old mentor ALWAYS has to die, forcing the young protege to quickly learn to fight on his own. Just once I'd like to see the student dying instead. Now <i>that</i> would surprise me.
*The mysterious evil murderer ALWAYS has to turn out to be a seemingly innocent trusted friend & confidant of the protagonist.
*That seemingly unrelated story about long-ago events always has to turn out to be completely relevant after all, a key piece of one of the main characters' past.
P.S. House of Games is an 80's movie- Saw it when I was like 14, so of course the ending surprised me at the time.

I read people of an "ecumenical jury" fainted during the preview, lol. could just be for hype, but the last scene in the preview is interesting.
