Not fighting for progressive policies he promised, including student loans which he can do by EO.Turning his back on BLM after saying he was with them when running for office.

'Fighting' who exactly, with Manchin and Sinema, there isn't much fighting to do.

That's like saying Obama didn't fight Lieberman over public option, as if Obama had any leverage.

I don't know man. Biden may not be getting much love but these are unusual times. Your current-day "media moderate" I'd consider low-info voter and the progs while idealist are in tune w/con civil rights shenanigans. I think/hope you're underestimating their willingness to pick the "better of two evils". Even if the polls don't reflect favorably so.

FWIW: Most on the left on this site who lean "moderate" are basically between the progs and the old dem guard. A "media moderate" is basically someone still not seeing the GOP as an existential threat to democracy. The GOP is simply not a reasonably viable alternative any longer & centrism between old guard dems and Sharia is delusion.

Well no president ever has won re election with a disapproval higher than approval, and no president has come back from consistent double digit disapproval higher than approval to 50 % since polling began in the the 1930's.

Abortion is dems only chance imo.In my own political circle, which is quite big because I used to volunteer for democrats until now, many who said they were done with Biden changed their mind after the Roe decision was leaked.Im sure some people who say they disapprove will hold their nose and vote for Biden after seeing Trump or Desantis campaigning for a few months. If I had to bet on it if Biden is the nominee in 2024 Biden loses because too many blacks and progressives stay home.

public excoriation at the very least. Isn't that what ended up bending Manchin's ear on this skinny BBB?

Obamas approval was consistently around 50 % two years before the election.Trumps approval was consistently low 40s high 30s two years before the election

Obama didn't have any economic issues that started after his election, Biden's numbers only went down when inflation numbers hit hard and may go back up in next few months with better economic news.

There's no way he'll make it until 2024. His health is failing too fast. He belongs in a nursing home and like Obama's WH doctor said, is not cognitively fit to be president.

Pretty easy to do when the economy hit rock bottom right as Obama took office. Biden's policies, particularly on energy, caused inflation. He's trying to spin it as all Putin's fault, but inflation had been running strong before the war started. Now commodity prices are falling thanks to the recession that the WH is trying to redefine.

well, he also said Donald wasn't Obese and was taller than he was so not much faith can't be put on someone who can't use a scale or a ruler.

Call them out publicly, daily.State in every speech he will support primary challengers for both, and the republican if they win the nomination .Stick Garland on Manchins daughter.

To make sure that you never get their cooperation even on budget bills that are needed in a 50-50 Senate.

And have to go begging Republicans to even keep basic government running

Right.

I mean, batting average isn't that great as is w/current kid gloves. Gotta risk a little to gain a lot here (plus it's morally warranted). We know holding budget bills hostage always get resolved and neither Sinema nor Manchin have the stomach for those fights imo.
