The Michael Vick story

Michael Vick should have done to him...the same thing he did to those dogs...torture then death...

He is an abomonation to Nature, a waste of sperm and should not exist. From inception his parents really screwed up.

Quote from CaptainObvious:

I must admit I'm torn on the story of Mr. Vick. I know for a fact that people can change, quite dramaticlly. I believe in personal redemption, but at the end of the day only Vick knows what's in his heart. If he truly regrets what he did to those animals, not for what it cost him monitarily, not even his freedom, but what it cost him with his own sense of humanity, then he is on his way to finding some peace of mind. Hopefully he will find his way back to some sense of human decency.

+1 I totally agree with the "People can change" part. I just hope he really has, if not he truly has some karma coming to him, to say the very least!

have you ever washed a spider down the the shower drain? or swatted a fly?

I'll assume you have. So the next question is how you can say that is any less an offense than killing dogs?

And, even if you feel like you have justification for feeling that way, can't you admit that it is possible that Michael Vick or anyone else would see killing a dog would not be much different than killing an insect? Possibly?

I think the main point is about the suffering, we hunt animals and no one cares because you shoot them and they are dead even though both hunting and dog fighting is for our amusement for the most part, I would think dogs suffer more so.

Its a lack of empathy that vick has but he was probably just raised that way.

Its like the chick that boned my best friend, its not her fault, she was raised that way. :D

I can honestly say that I do not kill anything with a living beating heart directly, except I would condone the Michael Vick execution.

What kind of monsterous parents would teach their children to treat life like this? You do not need to be educated parents...It just takes respect for life.

but alas...I am a hypocrit, cause Michael Vick should be tortured first then die.

What do you eat then? Eating requires killing.

Quote from olias:

I salute Michael Vick. But I never wrote him off, and I'm sure a lot of others didn't either. The type of guy that was writing off Michael Vick was the typical loudmouth Monday morning quarterback with low self-esteem. The kind that needs to put others down in order to make them feel better about themselves. Did I know Michael Vick was going to come back and kick ass? Hell no. But I was definitely curious to see what he could do and I’m glad he’s got the chance to prove himself again. A lot of other athletes you probably could have written off under the circumstances, but this dude is a stud. Very similar to those who wrote off Michael Jordan when he left the NBA to play baseball. I would never tell someone they can’t do it. When they have the fire inside, a man can do incredible things.

Yep. some on this board want to see him run out on a rail because he is an "entertainer" absolutely hilarious, Vick is a hoss!

What kind of monster would condone the actions of Michael Vick in any capacity?...

I dissaprove, I guess you will not give me his address...?

Yes there will always be scum of the earth.

I used to live next door to an old WW2 vet that had anywhere from 15 to 20 of these fighting pitbulls in his fenced in yard. They had to be replaced on a regular basis.
Whether you approve or disapprove, dogfighting is here to stay.
