The #MeToo Kavanaugh Ambush

Was there a FBI investigation after Juanita Broaddrick went on Dateline NBC and credibly accused Bill Clinton of rape and Hillary Clinton of intimidating the alleged rape survivor?

GRASSLEY ASKS FEINSTEIN AGAIN FOR UNREDACTED ACCUSER’S LETTER

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley again asked Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein to share the unredacted letter Christine Blasey Ford gave to California Democratic lawmakers that contains her allegation against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Senate Judiciary Republicans are preparing for testimony from Kavanaugh and attempting to persuade Ford to give her testimony on Monday. Ford’s attorney Debra Katz initially claimed Ford was willing to testify, but now says her client wants a law enforcement investigation into the matter before she testifies. The bureau has declined to do so.

Ford accused Kavanaugh of an attempted sexual assault more than 35 years ago at a Montgomery County residence she is unable to identify. Kavanaugh has denied this allegation ever took place and is ready to testify in his defense next week.

Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley sent a letter Wednesday to the Committee’s Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein asking for a copy.

“I am writing to request that you provide me a copy of the letter dated July 30, 2018, that you received from Dr. Christine Blasey Ford containing allegations of sexual assault against Judge Brett Kavanaugh,” Grassley wrote in a Wednesday letter to Feinstein. “My staff has made repeated requests for this document — which has become a significant piece of evidence in Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation process — but your staff has so far refused to provide a copy of the letter.”

He added, “You are able to share this unredacted copy with all the members of your caucus and their staff, as well as anyone else you choose. The only version we have of this letter is a redacted version contained in the supplemental FBI background investigation file that only senators and a handful of very select staff are authorized to read.”

“Your staff could have raised these allegations during routine background investigation phone calls in late-August. Questions about these allegations could have been asked of Judge Kavanaugh during his more than 32 hours of testimony before the Committee over the course of three days,” Grassley wrote, later noting she also could have asked him during the closed session of his confirmation hearing.

“I have offered her the opportunity to testify in any of four possible venues: (1) a public hearing; (2) a private hearing; (3) a public staff interview; or ( 4) a private staff interview. I am even willing to have my staff travel to Dr. Ford in California or anywhere else-to obtain her testimony,” he wrote.

Grassley gave both Ford and Kavanaugh a deadline of Friday at 10 a.m. to notify the committee that they will be coming on Monday to testify. The majority staff, according to Grassley, has also sought out to set up interviews with Mark Judge, and two other alleged witnesses.

Elizabeth Warren exploits Kavanaugh allegations

Fox & Trends with Carley Shimkus.

U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass, drew criticism Tuesday after sharing a clip of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh discussing his days at Georgetown Preparatory School. The editing of the clip seemed designed to fuel the fire over the sexual misconduct allegations against the judge.

In the short video posted on Warren's Twitter page, Kavanaugh is heard speaking at Columbus Law School at the Catholic University of America in 2015 about his school years.

“But fortunately we had a good saying that we’ve held firm to, to this day,” Kavanaugh says in the video. “As the dean was reminding me before the talk, which is ‘What happens at Georgetown Prep, stays at Georgetown Prep.’ That’s been a good thing for all of us, I think.”

Brett Kavanaugh talking about his high school in 2015: “What happens at Georgetown Prep, stays at Georgetown Prep.”

I can't imagine any parent accepting this view. Is this really what America wants in its next Supreme Court Justice?

Warren quickly jumped to denounce Kavanaugh’s comments, which were revealed in the wake of the allegations of sexual misconduct raised by Christine Blasey Ford, who claims the high court nominee drunkenly forced himself on her during a house party nearly four decades ago.

“I can't imagine any parent accepting this view,” Warren tweeted. “Is this really what America wants in its next Supreme Court Justice?”

But the clip shared by Warren, though first unearthed by MSNBC, cuts out Kavanaugh’s previous remarks indicating he’s talking about his three friends.

“I, by coincidence, three classmates of mine at Georgetown Prep were graduates of this law school in 1990 and are really really good friends of mine,” Kavanaugh said in a recording of the full speech, naming his friends.

“And they were good friends of mine then, and they are still good friends of mine as recently as this weekend when we were all on email together,” he added. He then made the “what happens at Georgetown Prep, stays at Georgetown Prep” joke.

“I, by coincidence, three classmates of mine at Georgetown Prep were graduates of this law school in 1990 and are really really good friends of mine ... And they were good friends of mine then, and they are still good friends of mine as recently as this weekend when we were all on email together."

Mark Hemingway, a writer for the conservative Weekly Standard, slammed Warren for trying to suggest Kavanaugh was admitting improper behavior in the video rather than making a joke.

“This has zero bearing on whether Kavanaugh sexually assaulted Ford, and the party of underage abortion and birth control on demand suddenly becoming neopuritans is a tad pathetic,” he tweeted.

“Like MSNBC, Sen. Warren is passing around a truncated version of the Kavanaugh video, in which he makes a joke about three ‘really, really good friends of mine,’ in order to smear him,” Oklahoma attorney Gabriel Malor tweeted.

“As we know, Warren is very comfortable misleading people. Her constituents deserve better,” he added, comparing Warren’s clip to a video posted by U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., which recently came under fire for depicting Kavanaugh as anti-women.

KAMALA HARRIS' EDITED KAVANAUGH VIDEO, 'MADE-FOR-TV' QUESTIONS DRAW SCRUTINY

Harris, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee -- which will decide if Kavanaugh gets a lifetime appointment to the nation's highest court -- tweeted out the clip earlier this month, which shows Kavanaugh mentioning the term “abortion-inducing drugs,” a term that Harris slammed as “a dog whistle for going after birth control.”

But the fact-checkers didn’t find Harris’ commentary or the edited video even remotely accurate. The Washington Post gave the senator four Pinocchios, its most egregious rating, saying the post omitted crucial facts such as that Kavanaugh was actually quoting the terminology used by the plaintiff in a 2013 court case rather than stating his personal views.

Even more partisan fact-checkers such like PolitiFact also found Harris’ attack wasn’t based on truth.

“In Harris’ tweet, Kavanaugh appears to define contraception as abortion-inducing. But the video failed to include a crucial qualifier: ‘They said.’ In fact, he was citing the definition of the religious group Priests for Life. He has not expressed his personal view,” PolitiFact’s check said.

The Emasculation of The American Male

https://www.wsj.com/articles/the-metoo-kavanaugh-ambush-1537197395?mod=e2two

The Post reports that the therapist’s notes from 2012 say there were four male assailants, but Ms. Ford says that was a mistake. Ms. Ford also can’t recall in whose home the alleged assault took place, how she got there, or how she got home that evening.

This is just too much.

I am now advocating that no female should be able to wear make up or high heels to work.

Also I want it to be my right when doing business with a company that I be allowed to ask for a male representative for fear that I may be accused of some form of sexual harassment if I interact with a female representative and she does not make the sale.

Now she wants to dictate the terms of a "fair" hearing. Let me guess what the terms are.
No questions are allowed. Only she gets to speak. Anyone who doesn't believe her is a sexist pig. Kavanaugh must wear a gag ball for the next year as punishment. And oh yeah, Trump must resign. That about cover it?

Do whatever.

But do this.

Email, call, or throw a rock at your Congress Man and Senator. Tell them what you want. Do it often. Get everyone to do it. Make something happen.

Have sent numerous Tweets to my Senators and Congressmen to do their jobs and let them know I am watching them! If all of us do this, we can move Judge Kavanaugh's confirmation.
If Christine Blasey Ford refuses to appear before Congress then, she blew her chance and should not be taken seriously! Move the confirmation along and put it to a vote!

smallfil,

Good for you. What State and District are you in?

i only ask because we need to win everywhere. Make sure everyone you know votes.

I am hoping they are voting Conservative (Republican), but if not i hope they have a good plan. You can not just let everyone have everything.

if it where true I would vote for it but some will have and some will not. Not sure exactly why but I do know it has always been this way.
