The mainstream medias embarassingly inaccurate coverage of navy yard shooting.

Quote from Ricter:

They're all trying too hard to be first, and sacrificing accuracy.

It really is sad, if you watched the first video stewart showed a clip where jeff zucker basically said they are rewarded for being first and even rewarded if they are wrong and no one punishes them for being wrong. Now we get to look foreword to 3 days of wall to wall coverage on this shooters life, and they wonder why frustrated psychopaths decide to go out in a blaze of glory.

Meanwhile our news keeps getting closer and closer to outright fabricated sensationalism.

I was going to say yesterday that it didnt make any sense for there to be 2-3 shooters but i was able to bite my tongue due to fear i might be wrong.

I always figured you just didn't care.

So why weren't you scared all those other times you shot turds from your mouth?

This video is a must watch for those who havent seen it, shapiro absolutely decimates piers morgan and his arguments against the constitution.

Did he really decimate Piers or is it the way you want to see it ? I guess pro gun control would have the opposite impression as yours. Anyway , coming back to Shapiro argument, military backed government is way too powerfil imo to be fought off only with assault weapons.

I agree that armed people stop shootings, however i still dont want every person in america armed to the teeth.

I dont want my kids growing up in a classroom where every teacher has a gun at their hip, im willing to take the chance with my own life that id rather not see guards with AK's at every mall in the off chance which is less than being struck by lightning that i might be shot. I support the 2nd ammendment but i dont think we need to force guns in the hands of more people.

Everyone here knows the feeling they get when they step off a plane in south america and guys in fatigues are armed with AK's at the airport, i dont want to live like that.

Of course the people with guns wont beat the government army, you seem to have the picture of both sides lining up against each other in a fair fight.

The simple fact that millions of random people are armed prevents the abuse from government because the people who have guns, are not going to fight fair.

We have already learned, due to our failure in Afghanistan and Vietnam that it is impossible to oppress a citizenry who is armed who is willing to die for their cause. When people are at risk of losing their home they are willing to die for the cause. Sure the guy with the gun will die in the end, but if he is able to take 5 people with him, and the government never knows who the bad guys are then it becomes a war of attrition where the government cant win, and they are forced to negotiate. You dont have to win in the sense that you wipe out their army, you merely have to resist long enough to enact change.
