He is right that the republican party was historically the party of Lincoln and Eisenhower, and the Bushes I might add. And Boehner, McCain, Lindsey Graham and Bloomberg.

That is reason enough for principled conservatives to question whether it is the proper place for us. The party establishment treats conservatives worse than the democrats treat blacks. At least they pay lip service to helping blacks and throw them the odd crumb. Blacks, without whom the democrats would never win another election...

So you need a certain number of voters to win office in a democracy. Huh, that's good to know!

I think not. In the 1990s the North Carolina legislature had 13 members who were KKK members - all were Democrats. In 2010, 2012 & 2014 KKK members ran for office in our state as Democrats.
