The poll results might be more revealing if in addition to the timeframe the amount of leverage is known. I guess someone who trades weekly or monthly trimeframe doesn't use the 1:100 level - mostly because of the high drawdowns. H4 or lower timeframe users often trade with a high leverage. Right?

I was hoping for more votes, but these are still interesting.
Maybe in time there'll be more votes. And maybe posting under 'forex' was a bad idea..

.
I have to say I'm impressed by the number who use longer term.
I was expecting a heavier number on the short term, those who disregard the longer term.

Thanks for posting this poll, Dev :)

The longest time frame I typically use is daily. I also use 4-hour and 1-hour charts to set up my entries and exits. My trades usually last from a few days to a few weeks.

I am in favor of yearly.

Yearly candles are the longest time frame I've ever looked at.

For those of you who use yearly charts, I'm curious how long your trades typically last.

I have my own theories on this, but I'm curious to get some rough figures on the absolute longest timeframe people use.

Not just Fx, input is welcome from traders of any markets.

Appreciate your input, cheers!

What ever TF price determines - current one goes back to 09

One before that - 07

What trade is that, RN?

What a strange question...., anywho

The answer; All of them

Unless you think it prudent to enter a trade while not knowing price’s current place in the overall move

Personally – I view that as foolish trading

But..., I must also acknowledge..., there are many ways to make money trading - so it may be possible
