The latest FIREFOX update is garbage

Having just updated Firefox it now closes unexpectedly and to add insult to injury my RH mouse no longer functions.

Am I alone?

what update ver?
3.015 here no problems.

Do the problems exist if you pull up explorer?

They still support 3.0.x? Current version is 3.5.5... no trouble here.

Call me old school, but I avoid updates like the plague. For one I usually end up losing bookmarks, which can be a pain.
Either way, I don't see any need to update.
I thought they were pretty much forced, as it usually says firefox will update next start. But that's the version I see on the about header.

Well, you can make backup copies of bookmarks to a flash drive with just a few clicks... I do it all the time.

FF has become quite reliable about how it handles bookmarks and other personal settings...

Yep, I keep a backup of the bookmark files. Learned that the hard way.

Either way, I don't see any pressing need to update if not neccessary. Seems like most of the time software needs updating, it's not a beneficial thing (except for maybe security updates). I ended up completely changing AVG to Avira, for example, as the changes started approaching Norton level bloating garbage.

Seems like a lot of updates are to address security issues. (?)

I always do them, rarely have had problems.

Help/About Firefox...

What is "RH mouse"? Is that "right hand"? If so, are nearly all of them that way?
