The last best-fit parabolic

Quote from kiwi_trader:

Tsokakis,

I've been asked if I could run up your "better parabolic" for sierrachart but I confess that the code below is double dutch to me -- too many constructs I dont understand.

Is there a plain english / c / basic / easylanguage version of it anywhere? Or if you are feeling bored could you advise the basic core of it yourself?

Thanks :)

Kiwi,

the most efficient way to get a response from Tsokakis is by visiting the Amibroker Yahoo message board and asking for his help over there. The Amibroker folks are a helpful bunch so I would expect them to help you out...

Good luck!

I wondered a long time already what is meant by the 'last best-fit parabolic'.
Is this the one that truly makes the most money for you or is this an exercise in visually pleasing esthetics?

LOL Nonsense, you are a cynic :-)

The maximum money comes from optimal resistance reading on your price charts IMHO :)

hello,
You nutcases , I use these parabolics for supports and resistances on a large scale and they are quite effective .

and just for your info Dimitris was the man who suggested the concept of the composites which was first invoked in amibroker and then the other TA softwares adapted it and then glamourised it as their own .

Yeah, I believe that one should give the credit where the credit is due and I know that he is a very inventive guy and expert in the Amibroker code, second probably only to Tomasz Janeczko, the AB developer.

More money than throwing darts? In general, yes.

hello,
Just thrown 5 darts so far i see .Hit the dartboard yet ??Forget the bulls eye ??
This table pays 2-1 for[ A 10 ] not the usual 3/2 and u can double down after splitting .
Darts is really not my game .I prefer blackjack or chemin de fer which has a basic strategy and some maths for accuracy with probability thrown in.
