I thought Byrd had already regretted his votes against racial equality. By the way, "The NAACP awarded Byrd a 100% rating in its 108th Congressional score card, based on what they consider his pro-civil rights votes in that particular session of Congress."

Are you sure? Wasn't it the Republican House and Senate that
finally outlawed lynching a year or two ago?

You would think that would of pissed the KKK off.

And you would think when the Dems were in control they could of

every educated american knows knows it was the republicans who supported and passed the important civil rights legislation not the democrats

and byrd was a member of the KKK.

He also had slip ups that betrayed his actually prejudice in the last few years. Dems give him a pass because they have no values.
