The Koch Attack on Solar Energy

I can understand the justification for electric utilities to charge solar customers for line use and infrastructure, however, this fair reason is not the reason the Koch bros and friends are pushing for these kind of charges.

You said the Oklahoma law was directly related to the Koch Bro's ...... while they may be anti-solar or what ever, the Oklahoma law has nothing to do with them, and is directly aimed at compensating the utility companies for line use by solar and wind generating customers looking to sell their surplus electricity back onto the grid.

I don't like the new law but I understand the reasoning behind it, your post is only speculation and aimed at smearing the Kochs

How does this Oklahoma law affect the homeowner. Can the individual still sell excess electricity back to the utility companies. What is the cost to the individual?

Nothing has changed, the law gives electric companies the right to surcharge "net metering" customers for line usage, using the utility companies grid for profit.

All existing customers are grandfathered, only new construction. Amounts are yet to be determined. The States Corporation Commission oversees all public utilities, i'd guess the surcharge fees will have to be ok'ed by them.
