It most definitely is BARON. A site called ELITETRADER had better deliver quality in spades or its drawing people in and setting them up for a massive disappointment.

Its never the customers' fault. They heard, they came to learn and improve so as to make more $, but instead they found people in vast numbers defecating in the dining room and chapels - and very little cleanup.

Ivan was an uptight asshole. his moderation style was caustic & divisive, he played favorites & was generally speaking a detriment to the site I'm glad he's gone.
ET should adopt a upranking/ downranking algorthim a la businessinsider or Digg. with the exception maybe of the P&R section. we don't need moderators. the site can self moderate just fine, the ratio of reasonable commentators to professional trolls is still very high. I'd wager that more people left the site turned off by Ivan's out of control behavior during Election 2008 season than they were turned off by spam & trolls combined.


His love of rules & nazi tendencies should make him an attractive candidate to the NOPD, they're recruiting

While you are certainly entitled to your combative opinion, would you mind posting some examples of my out-of-control behavior during the Election 2008 season that you refer to?

Unless you were posting under a different name, I cannot recall ever discussing a single thing with you. Doesn't mean I did not, but if it was as "out-of-control" as you claim it was, you'd think I'd remember. Limited search didn't turn up anything where you and I were in discussion, either.

I'm glad you make this statement because its is very accurate.

Ivan did cause quality posters to leave this site and i'm surprised he lasted as long as he did with his divisive style of moderating.

The fact that you compare rubberbird to marketsurfer shows that you were not qualified to moderate and that you have no understanding of trading.

The comparison was not related to skill in the market, but the desire to come back again and again and again in new screen names despite being removed from the site (obsessed, etc.) and promising not to return/post, etc.
